With EcoBoost turbo V6 power and a swapped rear-end, this car can hustle like you wouldn’t believe.
When it comes to swaps, the Fox Body Mustang has a sizable hold on the marketplace. Usually we see LS engines swapped in for the strip, but this one is different. Very different. Starting life as a four-eyed Fox, this car received all the treatments appropriate for hugging turns and dominating auto-cross and track day events. The evidence is in the components used.

The Mustang’s weak point for handling has always come down to its back axle. That was swapped for an IRS system from a 2003 Mustang Cobra. Up front, it gets way more interesting. A slick double-wishbone system is situated up there, no doubt an improvement over the stock suspension. Oh, and under the hood is a turbocharged 3.5 liter V6 EcoBoost motor.
As it sat, this early EcoBoost V6 made at least 320 horsepower depending on the donor car. We suspect with all the attention given to other areas of the car, this engine is likely making a fair bit more than that.
Slowing everything down are 6 piston front, and 4 piston rear calipers, which are surrounded by massive 295/30-18 sticky tires.
California enthusiasts beware, it won’t pass smog tests in your state, and is sold on Bill of Sale because of that. A clear title is present, however. At $14,000 on eBay, it could be yours, as long as you’re in one of the other 49 states.
