What happens when you throw an Iron Block 347 LSX engine into a beat-up, old 1990 Ford Mustang LX? You get the Beater Bomb, a vehicle pumping out just north of 500 hp with a 250-shot nitro boost, that weighs only 3085 pounds. This beast is raw power, and as you can see in the video below, it takes finesse and skill to manage it.

Just watch as the Beater Bomb takes on the Crusty Nova at the Outlaw Armageddon drag race. The power and torque lift the nose at the start of the race. But upon landing, the Beater Bomb almost goes right into the wall. However, with a gentle touch, Joey, the owner and driver, is able to wrangle the beast and keep the vehicle on the strip and beat out his opponent.

Check out the action below, then let us know what you think.
