We Have a 2015 Ford Mustang, What Do You Want to Know?
The world’s best-selling sports car these days has an American badge, and it’s built in Flat Rock, Michigan. The Ford Mustang, in it’s 50th year of continuous production, has been updated to appeal to a broader, worldwide audience. That means, for the first time on every model, you get an independent rear suspension. Also new for 2015 is a 2.3L EcoBoost I4 engine making 310 horsepower. Ford dropped one off for the week, and we want to know what you want to know.
Yes, folks, we have the 2.3L EcoBoost. While I am of the mindset that a Mustang has to have a V8 engine, the majority of buyers in the United States are going to opt for the configuration Ford loaned us. That means the EcoBoost four-banger is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Ford went all out on this model, building it with the Performance Package, the Premium Package, adaptive cruise control, and the Recaro leather seats. All in, this car stickers for $39,385.
We’ll have it for a week to answer one major question; is a four-cylinder Mustang still a Mustang? Yes, there have been four-bangers in the past, and some even have been turbocharged. But in the day of stringent fuel economy standards, is this Mustang the sports car of the future?
Do you have any burning questions about the new Mustang? Ask away, and we’ll be sure to answer them in a future post. Let us know your questions in the comments or over in the forums!
