Who said that only OHC motors can turn serious RPM? Ha! Here’s a Fox-body coupe that’s good for 10-second quarter-mile passes on motor alone. The 347 stroker motor is said to rev to 7200 RPM. Judging by the sound from the videos, we don’t have any reason to doubt it!

In general, an independent rear suspension isn’t the best setup for drag racing. Though honestly, it doesn’t seem to matter as much as sheer, undiluted, horsepower and sticky tires.
