I saw on a previous thread a while back, someone on a 13' put quads on his gt. And I've looked and haven't seen any for a 12'. Anyone do this on their 12' yet.

The only way I can describe it is that its almost like the car has long tubes. Thats the type of tone it has. The car growls now. I mean the sound changed completely. I'm gonna try to get a video, i made one but it sounds nothing like the car in person from in the car.
Anthony, that is awesome man. You have borlas now too? You will have to update your sg

Mine aren't borla. They are Magnaflow. Only company I know of that makes the quad tips unless you get the factory ford pipes for the 2013 GT500

Sound great...picked up the valance via dremel
They don't make one, the Magnaflow kit comes with a template to cut it

Yeah. Just have to take your time and sand the cuts down smooth. From underneath you can tell its been cut. But not where people can see

But can you leave the valance on while cutting it?

Burton, I saw you were thinking about letting a shop do the work. Go for it, just find someone you trust or hangout and watch. I'm super nervous with people touching my car too. But the overaxle pipes will basically never come out on jacks stands. I did my ABs and then had my mechanic do the OTA and X pipe. Good thing too, cause he said it was off by a 1/2-1" and needed some convincing.

Holy damm it sounds sweet. And he only charged me $70, not bad in my book when the avg local labor rate is $105

Thanks xar. You know darn right there will be pics and videos and reviews hahahahaha
Shame you don't live near VA I'm always down for helping. Helped a forum member put on hit SLP axle backs last weekend. I enjoy doing that stuff and helping people out

Oh yes I definitely will. The vendor I bought it from is shipping it out today or tomorrow. Should be at my house Thursday or Friday. Will post vid of them for sure.

Anthony, thanks for the pm too. I trust borla 100%. And they're backed by that warranty too. Bottom line, if there are issues with the x pipe or anything else, they will cover it.

As for the shop, yeah... I'd rather not succumb myself to bleeding knuckles, scraped arms, chances of stripping bolts, and swearing like a drunken sailor nonstop.... All just to save 75 bucks of labor. My time with my family is worth more than that...

Either way, I'm stoked for it. The only borla satisfaction I've gotten the last few months is starting her up in garage and driveway

Yes that's what we've been talking about for a few posts now. Avengd has a whippled 5.0 with boss quads and an axleback. He's not happy with his quads tho.
