Wolf Mustang

Wolf Racing Mustang makes 735 horsepower and 650 ft-lbs of torque, and only seven examples of this brutal euro beast will be built.

The amount of companies turning up with highly-modified Mustangs for sale seems to grow every day. However, there are not many based outside of the US. Though the options are limited, the power output and appearance are certainly not a disappointment.

Wolf Racing put out a press release in July announcing their “Mustang GT Compressor ONE of 7.” It serves as a milestone marker for its 40th anniversary. The company is not new to Ford, offering a selection of tuning options for the Focus ST and RS. They even built a special Mustang that German police use to promote legal modifications and have plentiful racing victories in Ford vehicles.

Massive Power

The drastic power increase comes courtesy of an Edelbrock supercharger, along with the company’s custom tuning. The Wolf Racing website claims a 0-100 km/h (0-62 MPH) sprint in under four seconds. They also state a top speed of over 300 km/h, which is nearly 200 MPH.

The package does not just add a supercharger and a boatload of extra power, though. Also included in the price is fully adjustable coilover suspension, custom Wolf Racing wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires, a limited-slip differential and a whole host of custom badging. The suspension change drops the car roughly 1.6 inches and has adjustable dampening and rebound settings.

Limited Production

Due to the limited production of this car, it’s at 94,440 euros or around $105,000 by current exchange rates.

Too Pricey, or Just Right?

Obviously, we must address the elephant in the room. That is GT500 money, and it just doesn’t seem like it has GT500 performance. That being said, the price of this car is more reflective of its exclusivity and the company’s racing heritage. It is a symbol of their 40 years of existence, embodying their multiple German Touring Car Championship and German Touring Car Trophy victories. So while it may not make sense financially on this side of the water, they will likely wind up in the hands of those who appreciate Wolf Racing more than any others.
