2011 Mustang GT Destroys Camaro & Corvette with 1000 Horses

Thanks to a host of well-chosen modifications, this 2011 Mustang cranks out 1000 hp, enough power for a 9.5-second quarter-mile run.

Horsepower may be king when it comes to dominating the drag strip, but all the power in the world won’t help it you can’t put it to the ground in a controllable manner. YouTuber JC Fisher runsĀ a 2011 Mustang that not only puts down some serious power but has a chassis setup that allows him to maximize it to the fullest extent, which he handily proves in his a video he uploaded to YouTube.

Camaro Face-off

The first run in the video sees the Mustang square off against one of its most common adversaries, which is of course a Camaro. JC Fisher’s Mustang utilizes a super strong 2015 Coyote long block that gets a healthy 13-psi worth of forced induction thanks to a Roush supercharger. There is also a DD149 intake manifold, big-bore throttle body and a lot of other carefully chosen parts that help the Mustang cover the quarter mile in a scant 9.5 seconds.

1000-HP Mustang

After the Mustang easily beats the Camaro, next up for the challenge is what appears to be a C6-generation Corvette Z06. The Mustang launches hard, the front end reaching for the sky. Despite the prodigious power output though it stays straight as it rockets down the strip.

The chassis and suspension have been extensively modified with a BMW tubular K-member and front front A-arms as well as BMR upper and lower control arms and relocated mounting brackets that use adjustable, solid bushings. There are also Strange front struts, Viking Crusader shocks and stronger Strange 31-spline shocks. Wheels are Racestar 15 x 10-inch rears and 17 x 4.5-inch fronts shod with sticky Mickey Thompson slicks.

Thanks to its killer combination of supercharged power and a chassis that harnesses it to maximum effect, this Mustang no doubt will continue to be a tough competitor to beat, as illustrated in the video.
