2024 Ford Mustang Damaged By Hail Storm

A recent storm system dumped large hail on this dealer lot, causing damage to quite a few 2024 Ford Mustang models and other vehicles.

Spring typically brings not only warmer weather, flowers, and an abundance of pollen, but also, severe weather events in many parts of the country. This is particularly true in parts of the Midwest, where the threat of bad storms with heavy rain, hail, and tornadoes always looms in the earlier months of the year. Recently, some rather large hail and a tornado touched down on part of this region – particularly, in Missouri – and this time, a number of 2024 Ford Mustang models paid the price, it seems.

We know this thanks to some video footage recently posted on Instagram, which shows a row of new 2024 Ford Mustang models – and a few used ones as well – getting pummeled by hail at Clement Ford in O’Fallon, Missouri. The scene is fairly chaotic, as a truck is apparently trying to get under cover while the camera man heads out into the storm, gathering footage of what’s happening – apparently with no regard to the possibility that they could get injured, too.

We say this because parts of the country were pummeled with hail as large as a baseball in some areas as part of this same storm system, though in this case, the hail doesn’t appear to be quite that large. In any event, it’s large enough to cause some damage – we can see plenty of busted-out rear glass in this case, though it’s unclear if anything else was impacted, such as the bodywork of these brand new pony cars.

It’s a painful scene for sure, but also a pretty good reminder of why it’s not a great idea to be out in bad storms such as this. Far too often, when hail is forecasted far ahead of time, we still see folks out driving around in it – or even walking around – seemingly unfazed by the very real possibility that they or their beloved rides could wind up injured/damaged by those large falling chunks from the sky.
