Had the car out of the garage when a buddy of mine showed up. He wanted to hear how good the V6 sounded. So I rev'ed her up.....a bit and only a bit. The computer apparently limits the out of gear car not moving rev's to 4000. Now I wasn't about to red line the engine mind you but it was strange running out of pedal in my drive way.

it is a loop in the CDI unit, the same thing pocket bikes have, there should be a work around out somewhere that jumps a lead between the speedo sending unit and the cdi control box, thereby allowing the full rpm range while not moving.

mine's an manual and it does not have a rev limitor the only thing it has is a speed limitor 111mph 4th gear @2500rpm.
