There was enough space to easily fit a piece of Velcro between it and the CAI tube. I put a piece of the soft side of the Velcro on the underside of the STB in case it came into contact with the CAI tube when the motor torqued. I can still fit a tip of a pinky finger between the two .

Oh yeah - the culprit is pretty much the drag radial tires. They're great when they're hot and sticky. But at 50 degree temps, it's pretty much like driving on Flintstone wheels...about the only thing good about them is that they're round. LOL. Traction control kicks in, but it pretty much cuts power. And what fun is a 700hp car if you drive it like that? boo.

That's good to know. If I get bored with my Boss strut brace, I might swap. I'm actually thinking about plastidipping it black too. Hmmm... we'll see.

On to thread topic - another one of my faves, but yes, I was too lazy to photoshop the telephone pole out

Yeah,...that does suck. Why can't it be summer all year long?!?!
LOL @ the Flintstone wheels.

Anyways, to keeping with the thread, this has recently been my favorite pic lately. I love our stock Brembos. I need to paint it someday, or maybe go with some cross drilled rotors.
^^^ Agree!

Looking sharp as always Burton! Love your shots.

Tommy, as I stated before, your car is one of my top faves on this forum. Classy, with just the right amount of tasteful (important) mods.

I love that red caliper look. Maybe I can tackle the caliper pint project this winter while she hibernates. Spray paint or brush paint? I've seen both. I want to do it with the caliper attached/assembled though. I don't want to remove it

Since you don't track it, why drag radials instead of just a good set of summers?

Tommy, I forgot to ask - so what did you do for the rears? You have a pic of those? Did you stay stock or go with Stoptech's as well? Are you happy with the Stoptech's overall? I went with Stoptech rotors on my Acura before I sold them, slotted. They seemed to have more give before they bit. I am not sure though if that's a result of the pad or the rotors.

If you're happy with the Stoptech's performance overall, maybe I will consider them for my next set - rotors AND calipers.

Ah... because I want maximum grip. On the street. When I push the "glory" pedal, I want it to go. Also, summer tires are supposed to have some functionality in the rain. I never drive in clouds, more so rain, so - I want the maximum grip in dry. Nittos are ok - will be switching to MT ET Streets maybe, or Toyo R888's.

Sorry for not updating my pics. Love seeing everyone else's new pictures, but I guess I have been slacking.

Been a very busy summer. I have only put a little over 2200 miles on the beast since March. Starting to sound like Tony... Have been doing a lot of traveling for work and makes it tough to get much else done. I'll try to get something before the snow flies...

Thanks guys!

And yeah I pay extra, but it's not that bad...like $40 a month. My rent for a single bedroom is still under $800 though, which is the going rate around here (and sometimes more). I don't want to stay at my current job forever, so I haven't looked into buying a home much around here. #ThrowingMoneyAway

turned out to be something REALLY stupid. Right before the intersection of the car wash, one lane was blocked off with cones for maybe 1/10th of a mile with NO ONE working on it, smooth pavement, I couldn't see ANY reason why the lane was closed. It caused a massive backup.

Normally I'm not a big fan of Red cars but there's something about a Red Mustang. I was shopping for a Grabber Blue Shelby GT500 when I settled for a Race Red 2012 GT500. I didn't think at first that I was going to like the bright Red but it really pops when it's clean and shiny. I've been shopping for a nice set of wheels also and those on your car look pretty nice. I want a set of Alcoa's but they are next to impossible to find.

I LOVE the Alcoas...I'd like a set myself, but yeah they are ungodly expensive and hard to find. Did you know they make a replica of them though? In 20x9, 20x10, and several finishes too! I've thought about getting them, but really want to see how they look on Race Red before doing it

Good for you bro! That's not bad at all! Good for piece of mind.
800 bucks a month is very inexpensive. Good deal bro.
