2013 Wire Diagram - Camera Harness? - Reverse Light?
I have noticed while looking at the wiring diagram service link that is usually posted up around here that the 2013 wire colors are not the same.
I am looking for a diagram for a 2013 camera spoiler (the harness FROM the camera), the colors do not match what others have posted as far as 12v, video + and -, ground etc.
This harness has about 5 wires - 2 white wires, a red one, a blue one, and a black one.
I then need a diagram that shows me the color for the reverse light at the taillights so I can wire it to the LCD rear view mirror.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

The colors change in the Harness you plug into.
The Blue wire does not get used, the Red, 2 whites and 2 blacks do.
If you go by the 11 wiring diagram the red will be #1.
Here is the replacement plug you need
And here is the 2011 wiring diagram

The wiring should be the same in a 2012. I'll check my 2012 manual. I have already retrofitted the reverse camera to my car.
Edit:
Siber Express got it for you. If you have nav, the nav will need to be programmed to enable the reverse camera. I think Siber Express is getting the lockpick, but the dealer might be able to do it. If not, then get a hold of United Radio.

i followed siber's other post, and already bought that harness posted in the pic above so i can have real nice and clean connections.
I do not have nav, i plan to buy an LCD rear view mirror to wire it up to which is why i need to know what the colors are specifically.

looking at the Diagram now for the 11 - it says that the rear video camera has a
Switched 12v - WH-VT
Ground - BK-VT
VIDEO + WH-GN
Video - BN-VT
Video Sheild - .....
Those colors do not match my camera at all whatsoever.
And JIM010 posted
Which is i think the same thing i just posted - its just that they do not match the colors on my camera harness.
After this gets answered, anyone know the best place to tap into for reverse signal? One of these diagrams says - Body Control Module B - C4368A - Gray/Brown wire (wherever that is)
Switched 12v - WH-VT
Ground - BK-VT

pin 1 - white/purple - power.
This will go all the way to the front passenger kickpanel to the large white connector C210. It plugs into slot 20, but there will not be a pin in there. You will have to get a pin and attach the wire to it and then push the pin into slot 20. On the other side, there should be a pin and a wire leading out from pin 20 going to the SJB. It leads to the SJB through pin 5 on connector C2280B.
pin 3 - black/purple - ground.
This goes to C260. It is located under the driver's side underneath the steering column. Splice it into the wire coming out of pin 20. Or just ground it somewhere else.
pin 4 - bare wire - shield
This goes to C210 and plugs into pin 33. From C210, it goes to C2123 pin 2 on the back of the nav screen. This may be there already.
pin 6 - white/green - video +
This goes to C210 and plugs into pin 21. From there it goes to C2123 pin 3.
pin 7 - brown/purple - video -
This goes to C210 and plugs into pin 22. From there it goes to C2123 pin 9.

probably not, i woudlnt need those pins anyway because i dont have navigation.
i would only use the power wire if i did - because the other ones i'd be wiring up to an aftermarket mirror.

The Red wire in the plug is pin 1 and goes to the WH/VT
Pin 3 in the camera plug is black and goes to black/purple
Pin 4 is black and goes to the bare shield wire.
Pin 6 and 7 are the 2 white wires in the camera plug, 6 goes to the WH/GR and 7 goes to Brown/Purple
I got my wire at Home Depot and just got 18/4 stranded shielded wire.
Remember, DC runs on the outside of the wire hence the reason for stranded.

Thank you Siber!
So basically this is the conversion to know what goes to what.
Switched 12v - WH-VT = RED Pin 1
Ground - BK-VT = BLACK Pin 3
Video Sheild - = BARE SHEILD - pin 4 (also black)
VIDEO + WH-GN = WHITE Pin 6
Video - BN-VT = WHITE pin 7
What exactly is a "shield wire" and where does a shield wire run to?
I know what SHIELDED wire is, but not A shield wire all by itself is.
edit**
a shield wire is to help prevent interference right? Once I wire up a reverse lcd rear view mirror ill be having to splice these wires into an RCA plug anyway, maybe I can find a shielded Video plug.
Thanks for all of your help to both Siber and jim010

Yes, the shield and the drain wire are for interference, as you said. Computer cable can come in shielded twisted pairs (stp). The shield is metal foil wrapped around the twisted pairs of wires (the bare drain wire is not twisted) along the entire length.
Or you can just make it yourself as I did. Just take 2 wires and twist them together for whatever length you need. Then run a bare wire with them and wrap the whole length in metal foil. Presto - shielded single twisted pair cable.
I looked up the wiring for the review camera without navigation to see if it was different in my 2012 manual, and it is different only in that the wires going to the nav go to the mirror instead.
for a car without navigation:
pin 1 - white/purple - power.

pin 4 - bare wire - shield
This goes to C919 and plugs into pin 11. From C919, it terminates before the mirror.
pin 6 - white/green - video +
This goes to C919 and plugs into pin 9. From there it goes to the mirror and pin 8.
pin 7 - brown/purple - video -
This goes to C919 and plugs into pin 10. From there it goes to the mirror and pin 16.

DONE! FINALLY
Factory camera spoiler
aftermarket rear view mirror
i used a very cheap rca cable for my video source (came with a cheap amp kit), I feel that its too cheap and i need to replace it with something more quality because after driving it, the image isnt perfect, im sure its due to some vibration and anything else that could cause the connection to not be perfect OR just too much interference.

Hey guys..brand new to the forum/mustang community. Just purchased a 2014 gt/cs (CS not by choice, just by coincidence). The rear spoiler is slightly taller than others and I'm looking to add reverse camera that's integrated into rear view mirror as the rear window is extremely confined. Do you guys think this is possible if I'm not using OEM camera, and a high quality aftermarket one? My current mirror plug has 16 pins and I have the correct mirror with integrated LCD display waiting for the swap. Need help! spent my entire day off searching the internet without any solid answers except for this thread. Thanks in advance!

i got my lcd mirror for 150 on ebay with a 4x3" widescreen. its great.
as far as wiring to a factory mirror - you just have to find the exact pinout.

not sure if i am in the right thread but does anyone know how to install 2013-14 headlights on a 2011 with halogen headlights, or where one can get the wiring diagram for such a project, i bought the ford cd but it locked up on me and will not allow me to access this info due to the guy on ebay who sold me the 2012-2013 ford service cd is timed out or some crap so it no longer works, not sure if im doing it right thanks for anyone who can advise me instead of buying the wiring harness, i bought the headlights and the plugs which have a 16 wire pigtail on it ,but only 8 wires are used can anyone advise me so i dont short them out, i know i will need a relay which i bought the aftermarket harness but want to see what wire goes where on the 8 wire plug , the pigtail wires are all green so i dont have a color schematic to see what wire goes where thanks for any help !
