Hey Rony, Thanks for the pictures, FINALLY
The "all white" looks great. You do good work!

Luke, If I get the aluminum colored, they aren't going under the tree, so I might have pictures before you get to post yours, that is if anyone is interested in the aluminum colored? Nobody has commented whether or not they would look better in a black stang?

Here it is!!! Enjoy the pics...
Well well well. He is alive! Looks good rony. I am going to order the ones from NR. I like the circular center gauges better than the solid white now that I have seen em.

FYI - I emailed NRauto.com the following questions, specifically about their Aluminum colored gauge faces (3278-A) that others, including Luke & Steve, may find helpful:

1. Do these particular gauges have the NR logo anywhere in view once the gauges are installed?

2. Will the Cruise Control indicator light above the center gauges still illuminate? I wasn’t sure that it would because of the blackened area that surrounds the four center gauges, making the four small circles.

3. Do these particular gauges come with detailed instructions and a tool for removing the needles?

They promptly answered as follows:

1. No NR logo seen when face is installed.
2. All symbols in black area can be seen when lit. There are 3 symbols and turn signals in black area.
3. Tool and instructions are included to change faces. Instructions do not explain how to remove cluster from dash.

I found their answers very helpful. I'm pretty certain the Aluminum colored faces will look best in my black stang with ICAP. What do you folks think?
Great info SoFL05GT. I give you one for this. I like the look of the aluminum face, but I decided against them for the same reason I wanted white faced gauges in the first place -- Its hard to see down into those two tunnels they call gauge pods. My eyes ain't the best in the world anyway, and the black numerals on a white background provide the best contrast for my old eyes to decipher.

Ponygirl,

I ordered from UPR, and they have white and silver available. The original company that produced the white or silver ones that UPR has is NR, but when they pattented the design, they added a black background to the middle 4-gauge cluster, and I didn't like that.
Anyways, I remember you showing a yellow one... when is that one coming to your stang??

I received my aluminum colored guage face overlay from NRauto.com yesterday and will be installing them this weekend. The product looks great and also, instructions and a tool for removing the needles were provided.

I called NR, the black background is there... the first run of these gauges were completely white, they did it for a company that requested 300 of them, before they pattented the product. Before they would do any more they pattented the design and did it with the black backgrount to make the 4 gauges in the middle look like speedo and tach...
I think I'm sticking with the original design, all white, from UPR... too bad they have to inflate the price so much!
I would just like to know how they can get a patent on something like a gauge cover? Maybe when the first person invented it decades ago, maybe. At this point, it's a bit hard to call something like this "new, unique, or non intuitive". Just making the same old same old for a different car is not unique.

Copyright? Yes. Patent? No. Patent with the current hosed US patent system? Probably...

Luke, I installed the new overlay for the gauges, as planned. Follow this link to see some pictures:

Done!!!! thanks to Rony and Steve for being the first at doing this and providing much need tips. With their help this was a no-brainer. I was a bit nervous, but in the end this was a snap. I love the gauges!!

I took a drive and my only complaint is that in a glare, the white numbers can blend in with the white gauges. But, that's being very picky. Overall - my best mod to date.......

Ok. I finally ordered my white faced gauges from NR products yesterday. I don't know if I like the blue on the message center or not. For those that have put them in, does it look like the green can be put onto the new gauge set in place of the blue, or is it sealed on where you can't change it?
