They are beautiful! No logos, no nothing, very clean! And it allows for the cruise control light (someone was wondering about that). I brought the gauge overlay to work, I'm gonna try to do it on my lunch hour, and I'll post pictures tonight.
The gauges looks exactly as they look on the UPR website. VERY please on how they look (although I don't think it costs $10 in shipping! The package weights 0.1lbs... nothing)

I agree. $10.00 shipping is a bit much. Thanks for the info on the logo and cruise, but I was wondering about the NR version that mole ordered. What was your total discount? Did they let you combine or do you only get one of the discounts you mentioned in your previous post?

Thanks Steve! Hopefully the clips holding the Finish Panel are easy to pop out! I knew there were 4 screws holding the Cluster itself, but I don't know where to begin looking for the other clips...

Took me an hour and a half, 'cause I wasn't careful enough.
UPR didn't send any tools to remove the needles, so beware of that. I used plyers with a napkin (so it wouldn't scratch the plastic).
Anyhoot, a quick walkthrough...
- Use a flat screwdriver to get the trim and round bezels off (all one piece).
- Use a 7mm socket to remove all 4 screws.
- I wouldn't disconnect the cluster (although it would be more comfortable to work like that) due to the warning ford gives (something about saving your settings for re-calibration).
- There are 5 tabs that hold the clear plastic over the black faceplate. Really easy to remove.
- The needles are a pain in the (_)(_) to take out, and you are bound to mess up the positioning when trying to get them out... if you can, use plyers with either a thin piece of cloth or paper. Place the cloth/paper around the needle head and firmly pull with the plyers. Try not to move it when you pull straight out.
- Once all the needles are out, use the flat screw driver (or a butter knife) to take the black faceplate out. There's a lot of glue, but no contacts or board circuitry will be affected. I did this part slow 'cause I didn't want to ruin any circuitry, but there was none to being with.
- Black is out, white is in!
Here's where I would recommend that you turn your car on, with no needles on, and then turn it back off. Put the needles back exactly where they where before you started this whole process, and it should be fine. It took me about 40 minutes to calibrate it again 'cause I was sloppy at the beginning.

"We have not had the opportunity to install a set of these gauges on our car as it has been at events since we received these gauges in. They did come with a gauge needle removal tool but as far as the difficulty involved with the disassembly of the gauge cluster we are not sure just yet.

Maybe they forgot to package the needle tool? I wouldn't want to try this without the proper tools.
As for the unplugging of the cluster, that is for the total replacement of the cluster. They need to download the odometer settings and such to put into a new cluster. Simply pulling off the plug is no different than having a dead or disconnected battery.
Did they not provide any type of instruction sheet? If not, this sounds like UPR doesn't know what it is selling, and/or doesn't care. Oh well. Let's see those pics!
