It was the same with my builder friend. He really liked 'Abbey' but was out at the sites most of the day, and she didn't like the Boxer's playfulness/mischief in the house. (duh - but had no yard to speak of.)
Course I didn't help much. For a time I worked in the office downstairs and would always get Abbey rowdy! Then send her upstairs!
But after about 2 yrs the dog was given away...
How do you give away your pet you raised since a puppy?! How do you explain that to your young son?
* funny - I first wanted to write 'mischiefness' but I searched to see if its a word (not - s/b mischieviousness). This is the #2 search:
My boxer puppy is soon to be 8 months old. He is testing his limits of mischiefness these days

I'm not attached to him. There is no connection between us at all. He deserves to be in a home that loves him, here he's just tolerated by me. Eddie will love him to death and Titan will be happier
I hope he gets to feeling better soon
I'm going to miss him!!! I only have today left with this sweet boy </3 He's such a love bug. I'm glad we were able to save his life.

My Sheltie, Shelby.
He was my friend, my shadow, the love of my life. He loved being in the car with me more than anything. I miss him terribly and I'm choked up just writing this.
He would have liked riding with me in my new GT 'vert. Sometimes I pretend he's still next to me.

I miss my first dog too, but somehow two of my dogs since then have acted just like him, so I know he's here in spirit...
