I'm keeping an eye on the dogs tonight while everyone is out and decided to go upstairs and lay on the couch. Nya came up and just wedged herself right in.

I love when dogs do stuff like that, especially big dogs thinking they're still little enough to pile up in your lap.

When she was a pup, she would always sit in your lap. She mostly grew out of it, but does it once in a while. Mostly she will snuggle in with you somewhere. My niece has this small electric throw blanket, and if that's on, Nya will be on it.

Flash the Basset Hound is now officially an old dog. He has arthritis in his left hip, though it's mild and isn't expected to interfere with his activities. He has a partial tear in one of his knee ligaments though, and he's been limping from it. Surgery may be necessary to keep him pain-free, but we're going to treat it with other methods first.

This is him looking thoroughly disinterested in anything but the milkbone my wife is holding in front of him.
