I've had 11 foals over the years but only seen 3 births. But this one was so cool!! Mama didn't mind my being there at all (sometimes they're fussy and over protective, and usually the foals are a bit nervous at first too). And that top pic is right after laying next to him like your dog and feeling his little 40 min old heart beating away... coolest thing ever!!
Now if only I could walk them through the park like guys do with their dogs & frisbies and pick up all the hot babes!

You can see the rest of the family here: http://www.charliehorse.com/RP71.htm or start from my home page for Bullitt pics too.

I remember Pres Kennedy doing bits about physical exercise and there was regular gym class throughout 1-12th grade in my day. A few chunky kids but not many like today.

The gym classes that they have now are pretty much crap. They dont have to change into gym clothes, barely any participation is needed, except a few stretches. It's terrible. The schools dont have much money to devote to gym stuff, and insurance and political correctness crap have made it so it's difficult to play games like kickball, and dodgeball, etc. Eh, stupid politics...
