Show me your convertibles!
Won't be long now before it comes out of exile from garage-hell.
Pics from last year at the Chatterbox in Newton, NJ 3 weeks after I got it. That's my niece Hannah pretending that someday she'll drive it. The second pic is among some kindred spirits. I call it Murderer's Row.

2006 5-speed GT I bought in December 2014 with 52K miles. I have since had a new cloth top installed, new Lloyd floormats, chrome valve/cam covers, rear black-out panel, color-matched mirror covers, new 18" FRPP chrome wheels, hydraulic hood struts, and leather shifter boot and black shifter ****. That's about all I plan to do -- I'm debating on installing a hood scoop, and maybe leveling-out the rear-end.
For some reason, this Windveil blue color is difficult to get a good picture of.

The more I see those wheels, the more I like 'em.
First things first though, in order....
1) fix driveway
2) replace front splitter
3) faux-leather convertible boot
4) GT500 rear spoiler
5) stripes
6) those wheels & tires (9.5 square, fatter rubber in 2016)
2)Nah
3)I have the boot and never use it. It is a pain in the butt to use.
4)I like the spoiler I got, no need to change it.
5) Boss decal is all it really needed. I am like the clean look. Everyone has stipes on their Mustangs.
6)One day this may happen.
1) Give me the money and I will
2)Nah

I am in the middle of buying a house (closes next month), so no new additions to my ride for a while...
But I do agree on the boot, I rarely ever use mine... I have only used my current one like once or twice, and that was only for car shows (which I don't really do that often)...
I'll put the boot on sometimes on a Friday and leave it on for the weekend. But I don't leave the top down at work so I leave the boot off for ease of lowering/raising the top.
I located a vendor who sells faux-leather looking boots...they're really vinyl, but I've seen one on a Shelby and it does resemble leather. The vendor gives the option of stitching color too. My 'vert is black and I have the 401A interior with cashmere stripes, so I might go for white stitching. Not sure yet.
I live on the 'wet' coast so it didn't make sense to use the boot. we can have stunning weather at beginning of a show and then instant thunderstorms, then sun again. All in one show

How you liking that shaker hood?

Those verts are sweet.
