I`d like to take this opportunity to thank my employer for 7 weeks annual holidays plus another week or two of accumulated stat holidays, sick time not used, and anything else that might come along.
Since my first trip to Colorado back in 1965 when I was just a kid I`ve been hooked on road trips.

I`m glad you enjoy the pics. For those of you who might never see these places it is my pleasure to share.

The view from a plane can have its advantages, as I`ve flown over the Grand Canyon. But you won`t see the best of America unless your on the ground. And stay off the interstate when you can.

You're right. But driving from Phila, PA to Jackson Hole, WY would take a while. I had my wife sold on a cross-country road trip last year but then she backed out. To do it at a pace that would be comfortable would take longer than we usually have for vacation.

That WOULD be nice but the chances of getting my wife to take the trip in the Mustang is beyond remote. She wants to take her Lincoln Aviator whenever we go more than an hour or so. Plus, when making a road trip like that, we'd be stopping all over the place and buying all kinds of crap. Believe me, we'd need the Aviator, maybe even with my trailer on the back!

This pesky critter and his/her friends can empty a full BIRD feeder in a day!

And where is the dog when all this is happening? On more important duties...

a pellet gun will fix your bird feeder or you could grease the pole so they can't climb it

As much as I dont like what they are doing, i'm an animal person and couldn't take the gun to them.

A greased pole in the middle of the yard what i'm planning on now. Under the grass is nothing but rock so getting a pole in is not easy.

The feeders right now hang off the deck, so greasing the pole they are on now will do no good since the critters can just jump onto the feeders. One of the feeders is weight sensitive so it closes up and keeps the squirrels out when they get on, but the chipmunks are so light the doors stay open.

One day the feeder was empty and a chipmunk was stuck inside it! When I finally got him out, the thing took off so fast I don't think his feet ever hit the ground until he got to the bushes!
