i have been fascinated with clouds lately .. we`ve never had so many so spectactular in bama ..

 

A friend of mine dropped of some extension tubes to I took out the macro lens and figured I would try to shoot some abstract stuff. Here are some of the results (pics from 3 different flowers).

This little guy wanted to look at what I was looking at. Too bad the wind made the flower move and blur a few areas.

All I see are those wonderful little red x's. I'm headed to OC, MD in a week. How did you like it?

 

 

Hmmm... They were working in the preview post. I'll try again when I get home from work.

I love OC. I was there for a week each in '06 and '07. Stayed at the Park Place Hotel with an ocean front room. Nice hotel but will run you about $300/night. I hoped to go there again this year, but the Mustang took my money and friends that I go with were going to try Wildwood NJ for a change.

I also looks like they are raffling off a Candy Apple Vert down there. I watch the webcams and can see it sitting there down by the bathrooms!

 

We usually get a condo when we go instead of a hotel. We also don't like to stay right there on the boardwalk.......to much going on! If I remember correctly Park Place is near OC Gallery and Plim Plaza. When I lived there the summer I graduated high school, I used to work at the Smorg (Paul Revere Smorgasboard), it's right under the Plim. I spent a few days last summer with my brother and his family down there, but this year will be the first time I've spent an entire week there since 1994.

 

Yeah, Park Place is is right next to the Ocean Gallery. I like being able to look down and watch what goes on on the boardwalk. We ate at the smorgasbord once, and only once. The food was horrible.

One of our local tv stations shows the ocean gallery cam every morning. Some viewers try to make it down there early in the morning and stand at the phone booth with signs. It is funny to sit on the boardwalk and watch people.

I haven't eaten at the smorg since I worked there. It wasn't bad then, either that or I just liked it cuz it was free food. Back then I was just a teenager, fresh out of high school and on my own for the summer. But that was a long, long time ago.

I'll have to check and see what's up with the mustang on the boardwalk when we go, if it's still there.
