In most cities there's always a couple hidden gems that you can get some of the best food in town at. New Orleans is not like that at all. If it's been open for more than 5 years, it's great. If the food is not great, it's not open for long. Unless it's some type of chain restaurant. The wife and I have a very long list of places we still want to try and keep discovering new ones to add to that list. The options are endless.

Its not really a fancy place (and I'm not much for fancy places, just good food and service), but I'm most looking forward to going to Felix's ( I think we talked about it before). I love that place, great food and the view is spectacular, especially at sunset. Dem crab claws Only complaint I have with it is that the drinks aren't really strong enough for me (not many are though, lol). Have to order too many of them and it runs my tab up.

I think we've been twice and it was great both times. For New Orleans, I would check out Jaques Imo's then. Just a real cool place away from from the criminals and party crowd. Very cool isolated area. They have a pretty good bar also since there's always a bit of a wait. You can also drink your drinks out on the sidewalk and check the scenery which is always interesting.
We'll probably ride over during the week, middle of the day, so I hope things wont be too crowded.

There's some really disturbing aspects of that poster outside the more you look at it.
EDIT; I just noticed that is a cutout in the poster for people to stick their head in for a picture. Weird!!

How appetizing.
When I think about it I have never eaten on the can. Never even crossed my mind to try to. I've smoked on the can. Used to do that at my old job. And back when I was young and lived in an apartment and smoked inside. One of my favorite cigarettes was right after takin a dump on the can.
