Yeah I'm in the same boat - I detailed her this weekend but didn't drive her at all. Maybe this week sometime. We'll see. I just hate driving her when she's fully clean - the first 50 feet and she's dusty already

Drove it!
I hadn't driven it in over a week! I was really looking forward to it and it was a blast. Not many people on the roads and the weather was perfect.
Between working out and the new puppy, no time. lol

Well not really driving, but still the Mustang was used in a short film that a friend is making (they own a media production company called 3gins media) so the Mustang is gonna be in a film YAY! I thought that was neat when the idea was pitched to me, and I figured heck why not, should be fun and I also assisted with filming the scenes too...

Removed the upper control arm in the Shelby today, cleaned/lubed it and installed a grease fitting in it, then re-installed it, all greased up.
Did this hoping that the work would cure a dull whine heard from the back of the car during low-speed turning, as in when maneuvering around a parking lot.
Noise still there after, which sucks, but at least the UCA is greasable now.
Not sure what Steeda was thinking making a non-greasable arm like that.
Their LCA's are also not greasable :/
This is the way the UCA looked once I was done with it:
I then went into the diff, since the fiancee was nice enough to volunteer some info that the noise seems to lessen or dissipate after about an hour of driving.
So it pretty much led me to want to take a look at the gears back there ...
This is after I cleaned up everything using up a full can of brake cleaner:
The coating seems to be worn off some of the teeth on the top and bottom spider gears, but other than that everything seems OK, as far as I can tell.
The whole center section was replaced 1-2 years ago, new Ford Racing parts installed by a Ford master tech friend of mine.
Plan is to use twice the usual friction modifier when I re-fill it, then top it off with Amsoil fluid.
Cover's back on now, RTV is curing.
Will get back to it tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday

Gabe - that Steeda does not seem to be a good design then, on both accounts. I heard good things about BMR. Perhaps that's a better option? I know I will probably go that route when I upgrade mine.

The car was on 4 jack stands, and still is, as the sealant needs 24 hours to cure before adding fluid.
Lifted car, removed diff fill plug, removed all diff cover bolts, pried open the diff cover slowly to let the fluid drain out, cleaned up the cover mating surface, used brake cleaner to spray all the gears down while spinning the wheels to turn all the gears around, used several rags to clean out the bottom of the inside of the diff housing (there's a little pocket there where fluid can otherwise get trapped, and I scooped out quite a bit of slime out of there), cleaned the cover thoroughly, let everything air dry, applied new RTV black gasket maker to the cover, let it sit a few minutes, installed it, tightened the bolts hand tight, an hour later went back and torqued the bolts to 30 ft-lbs.
The hour-later thing was per the instructions on the RTV package.
My fiancée and I have something planned today, so I probably won't be able to add fluid and test drive it till tomorrow
