Finally got a letter from my dealer that the air bag fix is in for my 2012 Mustang.. Recall 15S21 I do not understand how that air bag inflater manufacturer can stay in business with the massive number of replacements they have to re-make.

They looked better in person. The pictures came out too dark around the wheels. The stance seemed perfect to me though. Said he was running Steeda springs.

Changed the MT82 trans fluid this morning, and glad I did. Quite a bit of metallic shavings in the old fluid, which was in there for about 26-27k miles, and was put in at 10k miles on the car:

Yup, 2 quarts of Amsoil Synchromesh fluid and 1 qt of their manual trans gear lube.

See my build thread for more details, last post in it right now

Just saw that too. Is that mixture what amsoil recommends? And/or does it end up being the required viscosity for the MT-82? Obviously it works, or you wouldn't have done it...I'm just trying to understand where you came up with the formula.

Gabe... I agree. If you recall, I had all my fluids changed this spring, with Amsoil as well. Best stuff out there. I had my changed with 13k on odo. I should be good another 5 years

Everything else looked good on your car?

It's "The Calimer mix" lol
Ben Calimer, guy builds performance MT82's and TR6060's, he came up with the mix, after trying various mixes.
After driving the car with it in there, I'll say I do like the feel a lot.
It took a minute or 2 for it to go through all the innards of the tranny, the first few shifts felt really metallic, but now they're nice and smooth.

Yeah, I remember you had fluids done, not sure what you put in the trans though ... this mix seems to not have been around that long ... what did you use?

Thanks for the info. I will definitely use that whenever I am ready for cleaning out the bloodlines. (Which, won't be for a long, long time. lol)

Lol ... yeah, if he buys the fluid it'll just end up gathering dust next to that new MGW that's still sitting on the shelf for over 2 years now ... Tony, you should probably just put that up for sale dude ... lol

For the rear diff fluid, yes.
Did you have the transmission fluid changed too?

Hi Gabe... you and I are BOTH right. LOL.

I did have ALL the fluids changed, including the MT82 tranny fluid. I didn't have any Amsoil fluid at the time, so we used the latest from Ford - the XT11QDC.

Oh that's right, I think I remember us talking about that fluid at the time ... the updated Ford recommendation for the MT82.
