What did you do with your Mustang today?

I was a Ford Service writer for almost 10 years, never heard of a Central Processing Order.
CPO stands for Certified Pre-Owned.

Tony, feel free to message me the VIN, I'd love to look at it myself

I thought the dealership was considered the original owner because of the CPO, which I totally misunderstood from the start. i reread Nick's PM again just now.)
I'm going to pass on this car. It is super clean in and out, but the fact that it had previous owners is bothersome to me and I don't have a good feeling about it. (always go with your gut, right?)
Maybe that's why the owner was so quick to drop the price 2k? Just to get rid of it? It's all kind of coming together now.
See,......sometimes it helps to have outsiders look at this stuff as well. Thanks Gabe.
**Although it NEVER had any issues reported on the Carfax, it still bothers me that there were 3 previous owners on the car. Maybe there isn't anything wrong with it, but I'm not going to take any chances and trade in a perfectly fine car for a car that "may" be troublesome down the line.

If anyone is interested,......................

I was working with Zegin Braun. He was quick replying with the emails, but very short. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll pass along his info.

And by the way, $56k is too much for that car.
2014's should be low 50's these days, for a good deal.
2013's low 40's

I got them down 2k, and wanted them to go down lower, but they had to get back to me. I think I'm going to pass on it anyways. I don't want to be the 4th owner. There may be nothing wrong with the car, but I'm going with my gut.
As I posted above, the last owner only had it for 100 miles and was an older man. They said the car scared him and he traded it in. May be true, may not be. If I were going to be the third owner, I would consider it more so.
Oh well, everything happens for a reason.

Yeah, plus really there's no reason to be looking at cars that far. You risk getting a flood car.
Plus, there's lots of people babying their Mustangs up around here, you should be able to get what you want up here.

I did find one in Fitchburg, (I think it was), but it had more miles than I wanted on it. (Over 10K. Plus, there was a sticker on the back window of some mod shop in MA, so the car was "probably" not stock. No thanks on that. Could be opening up a new can of worms.)
I'm in no rush. I want to make sure I buy the perfect one, "if" I find it. If not, I'll have the truck paid off before the new GT500 comes out, so I may look into that as well.

In my continued quest for OBD readiness, just installed spacers on the rear O2 sensors.
We'll see if they help at all.
Hoping to take the car out on a cruise with the wife later today.

(I know this sound silly, but did you try disconnecting the battery to reset after trying these different scenarios? That may help as well.)

Gabe, would flood damage show up on the carfax? I'm thinking about getting a used car in the next 6-12 months.

If any accident or other damage gets fixed "under the radar" or by the owner, it usually doesn't show up

I bolted on a strut tower brace. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I'm convinced it feels tighter, more responsive in corners. Makes me happy.

Well boys and girls,..........I just "acquired" about a GORGEOUS, low mileage, super clean, Ruby Red with white stripes GT500.
It's stupid gorgeous and has only 3,700 miles. (Not sure about the Carfax or 1 owner part yet. I sent in an email about 1o minuted ago with a bunch of questions. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays.)
Right now, it's just an "inquiry". So we shall see what happens.
Everything happens for a reason, so if it works out, GREAT. If not, I still have a killer car and it wasn't meant to be.

Did you see this one? 60k!
Yes, I did see that last week Roger. Pretty sweet. All with a warranty too!

That "1200-horsepower Mustang" for $45k or $50k or whatever it is this week, is a car with a turbo system that's CAPABLE of delivering 1200 hp, IF you turn up the boost and get yourself a built bottom-end.
The standard package is about 550 rwhp.

The thing with those guys is that some of the packages they offer are advertised in a very misleading way.

If I were running anything over 800HP on the new Coyotes, I would be running a built bottom end. Even on the S197 cars, I would be running a built bottom end on anything over 700HP. Of course, oil pump gears and crank sprocket.

My odometer rolled past 10,000 miles today. So far, so good. Any problems I've had have been self-inflicted.
