I just figured it out. Font and color change to your changes only when you use quick post. Or a mod named Arin.

It should show up in the color you select and then revert back to the forum default.

OK if you select the color on your user options page the color will revert to the TMS default as soon as you refresh the screen. But if you post and use the text color tab in the top of the reply window then the color will stick.
