So I'm thinkin' a little about seeing if I can buy the farm truck. It's a pretty dinged up example of a 2000 F-150. With a 5.4L V8. Personally I love the thing. Only real issue...13/18 mpg. Any thoughts?

Gas mileage isn't bad unless you do alot of driving. If you are going to put alot of miles on a vehicle then gas mileage can hurt you. But if your putting 500 miles a month just do the math.
500 miles/ 16mpg average=31.25 gallons a month or $48.43 a month
500 miles/ 25mpg average=20 gallons a month or $31.00 a month
1000 miles/ 16mpg average=62.5 gallons a month or $96.88 a month
1000 miles/ 25mpg average=40 gallons a month or $62.00 a month
That's using $1.55/gallon
All those numbers double if gas prices double.

Tom I thought you watched more football. Flacco has a huge arm and was First round pick out of Delaware. I think Delaware is Division 1-AA. I can't believe he has played this well this year. He's got the arm and the height but he has amazed me with his decisions for a rookie.

Actually I've been following another (not rookie) but newbie......... Cassel. If the Pats make the playoffs, he would get my MVP vote.
