I'd wash it, but it'd just be all dirty again by the time I got home. I have to wait until the roads dry up.

When I was 18 and 19 I didn't even have 1 car or a bike the worked.

So forgive me if I don't cry for you Nathan. BTW you should really thank your dad for getting the Mustang. Seriously. Just give him a sincere thank you. It makes us daddy's feel better to be sincerely thanked when we don't expect it.

hey guys...

guess who's waiting for paint to dry... again

got all the runs out, but i didnt get it tyotally smooth. theres still a little bit of a lump where two of the5 runs were. i think it'll be ok though. I need to make my poster for it and buy some felt, glue it to the bottom and then spray the clear. the clear takes 12 hours to dry, so once i spray it i cant touch it til tomorrow. we present bright and early, so i wont have time to fix anything if it goes wrong :-\

My final grade in drafting ended up being a C btw, bec of two missing assignments I didn't realize I had. oh well, its a pass.

registered for next semester today, 4 classes, two of which are ONLINE!!! WOOT!! less commuting for arin. my other classes are on monday (3:30-10pm) and tues/thurs (3:30-6:30)

which means ALOT of sleeping in

its just as liong as my two 830-3 classes lol. we do get one 15 min and one 1 hour break in those slots though, so thats nice

the nice thing is10pm is NOT peak commute hours. my bart expense are down from 3 days a week to 1 day a week. my driving commute stays the same (twice a week)

my online classes involve building stuff (which I do do at home) and FINALLY after all these years I have a photoshop/imageready based class! those years of screwing around in PS will finally prove usefull. I also need to buy Paintshop, but thats nbd

I did the day we bought it.

Believe me, I'm very thankful for this car. I just like to complain about winter and why the world is better off without it.

Boy, dead around here.

I think I've finally decided that I want to get this. It'd probably cost me at least $250 for just the mufflers and installation. This is about twice that but worth it imo, plus I'd think I could do it on my own. Hopefully sometime next spring.

CLEARCOAT IS ON!!!

and holy hell clearcoat is a magnificent substance. Teapot went froim looking like "hey cool, DHG" to "HOLY JEBAS OF AMAZINGNESS ITS FREAKING DHG"

Just in the first coat, it gave so much 'pop' to the paint. you really start to see all the different shades and glints in the DHG metallic paint once the clear is on. i started getting some runs, bnut they all went to the underside of the teapot, so i could scrape the big ones off with ym knife. whatever is left will be covered in felt so..

some of the older students were in the paintbooth at the same time as me and they first (when noticeing the runs/drips) said it looked like I was using too much, but when the got close and saw that it was just at the bottom and not on the good surfaces they said it looked really good. they said it was smooth and glassy enough for me to just let it dry and be done with it, and that it without even wetsanding it should be good for a B

other students really look out for one another and help out here. its pretty freaking sweet considering we're all shooting for such a competitive industry and that jobs are few in supply.

I'll get some pics in a bit. I'm gonna wait another hour or so here, maybe two and check the model out every so often to catch any other drips at the bottom.

I went from thinking "meh, this is barely passable" to thinking "this looks pretty good"

Arin- whats up? I registered for my final semester... 3 online courses!!

now I wish I would have gotten into design rather than auto technology...

I'm been doing some amatuer-ish design on my own... it probably won't get me anywhere though...
