And I really never thought too much about it until I started reading some threads on ecig forums trying to learn about different equipment, accessories, etc, but a lot of posters on them have a counter in their signature that keeps track of how many days/months/years since they've had a cig, how many analog cigs they've NOT smoked and how much money it would have been.
Like this (I assume it updates itself every day based on the info you put in on how much you smoked and how much they cost)
It got me to thinking and adding it up I've been smoking 10,000+ cigarettes a year.

Three weeks today since I bought a carton of cigs. Still got 4 packs left, most of the ones I smoked were in the week before I got the vape stuff (got it 2 weeks ago tomorrow). Down to 3 a day now and by the time these run out I think I might be able to do without any at all.

I really can't believe how much better I already feel. I've got more energy, I can breathe a lot better, food tastes better, I've even been sleeping better. You know, that is the weirdest part of the whole thing. I figured that would be the hardest part of getting away from the cigs because when I imbibe, I chain smoke. Much more than normal. That was one of the reasons I never tried to quit, I thought there was no way I could quit them without giving up the drink too, I just knew that as soon as I got a buzz I'd give in and grab a smoke. But its been just the opposite, that seems to be the time that I have the least urge to smoke a cig. I can just sit there with my highball and puff on my mod without having to go outside or anything, but its not the same kind of craving that I had for a cig. Can't really explain the craving difference but I'm just about convinced that there is something else in cigs that addicts you and makes you crave them besides the nicotine.

I tried as a kid each & every time I puked last time I tried in March 2005 at work I was mad asked for one lit up up and puked . after It killed my grandfather much younger that was even worse for me.

Quit cold turkey in 2003. Best of luck for those trying to stop or at least slow down now, you can do it. I don't miss it at all. Do miss dipping though once in a while, did that for years before smoking.

Went through a cigar phase in College. Mostly because I liked the way they tasted. It lasted less than a semester.
