Did you catch that fart I cut a little while ago when I was outside? The wind was blowing your direction.

 

Apparently bears can't spell either?!?

 

I was reading an article in Backpacker magazine earlier about bears, and one of the things I found funny was what a guy said about encounters with them. He said, you can't outrun them, you can't outwit them, you can't out anything them.

 

I dont know about that. Mrs Patrick says I smell pretty bad, but I think I still smell better than a bear.

 

Well all I know is that if you run uphill a bear can never catch you!!!

I think he's confusing things with the saying that bears can't run DOWN hill because of their shorter front legs. Yeah, that's a myth as well, matter of fact one that was mentioned in that article I was reading. Along with the myth of climbing a tree to get away from a bear (they are excellent climbers, especially black bears) and the myth that they are scared of fire.

Bears can haul ***, even downhill. They are actually faster than a race horse, they can sprint over 35 mph.

 

It's a joke relax!!! A bear also can never catch you if you carry a white stick!

Ok and why is it a bear cannot catch you if you carry a white stick?
Sometimes you have to carry it pretty fast! Badabum!!! :-)

 

 

Who the heck would think they were safe from a bear in a tree? How is that even a myth??

 

I'll just use the cubs as shields against a bear.

Surprisingly, people think that. Must not have spent much time in the woods, but that is a common misconception.

I guess they haven't been out there much or seen my pics from the woods in my backyard.
