They finally did it!

The Hypersonic X-51A WaveRider

The Air Force said Friday the X-51A WaveRider flew for more than three minutes under power from its exotic scramjet engine and hit a speed of Mach 5.1.
The test on Wednesday marked the fourth and final flight of an X-51A by the Air Force, which has spent $300 million studying scramjet technology that it hopes can be used to deliver strikes around the globe within minutes.

The previous three flights ended in failure or didn't reach the intended speed.
Though the aircraft was designed to reach Mach 6, or six times the speed of sound, program officials were satisfied with its performance in the latest test.
"It was a full mission success," program manager Charlie Brink of the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base said in a statement.
The sleek, missile-shaped WaveRider was released from a B-52 bomber 50,000 feet above the Pacific and was initially accelerated by a rocket before the scramjet kicked in.
It reached Mach 4.8 in less than half a minute powered by a solid rocket booster. After separating from the booster, the scramjet engine was ignited, accelerating the aircraft to Mach 5.1 at 60,000 feet.
The flight ended with a planned plunge into the ocean.

Tornado spike in 2011 attributed to climate change. So what to make of this year’s tornado drought?

Lee I love you man. Like a brother from another mother. But the bra belongs in the 1980s.

The car is absolutely sick though and it might make up for it

Its not for looks at all, its to keep the front end from getting destroyed. I think it looks alright on this particular car, but I'd rather not have to use it. Its not something that's going to be on it all the time, just times like now when the bugs are horrendous and their guts eat into the paint. Or if I want to drive it on a day trip to a show or something, the roads here are terrible with rocks and **** getting slung up, not to mention all the limbs and **** that fall off of log trucks that you can't avoid.

People say "Just get a clear bra". Well, I don't have enough faith in that. That clear **** shows up white specks with every little ding in it, especially on black. How is that clear bra going to look in 5, 6, 7 years? Going to turn yellow? What do I do then when its beat to hell? Take it off? What is going to happen when I take it off? Is this ****ty paint they put on cars going to come off with it and have to paint the whole front end (if it will even match with the fading)? I know damned good and well the stripes are going to come off with it, which means a complete new stripe kit, plus the cost of another clear bra. I can put this one on at the times of the year I need it, and take it off when I don't.
