I'd rather be sitting in class writing papers all day.

Well stay safe. And break the camera out while you're at it.

This was just east of where Steven was. Reports are that it over turned about 100 cars on the interstate, and collapsed homes and buildings.

I hate those darn things! We have a strong line of thunderstorms rolling through right now. Hopefully that will be as bad as it gets!

We had tornado sirens going off for 3 hours straight. The tornado that hit adairsville came right over the top of us with its tail hanging out of the clouds. That's not a good feeling

That weather is heading up here tonight. No tornado warnings, just a lot of rain and high wind.

Just be weather aware....they do a MUCH better job of warning and forecasting down here than they do in the northeast when it comes to this kind of weather. Having come from MD I have never seen the strong focus up there like they do here. With wind these things can come out of nowhere and nobody is immune...

We don't have very many big ones, but they actually do pretty good up here forecasting them.

One went through not too far from me in 2011. The station I was watching was was warning ahead of time and really go into explaining the radar. As time went on you could see how the "hook" develops and soon after they had confirmation that one was on the ground.

Unfortunately we don't have sirens and other warnings like that, but we don;t get them like you do either.

This is the path that one took

They're pretty good up here too. People are news obsessed around here. What sucks is people complain when they break into programming. And then they tend to focus on the snooty areas of town over the more down to earth areas.

Well that's good, at least you get good info about what's happening where you're at.

With all the rain and wind coming up from the south, the overnight temp is supposed to be around 55º - 60º.
