Forgot how fun film was. Since you have to wait its sort of like opening a present to see what's inside. Seems like you usually get only 1 or 2 great ones but its worth it. Because the difference between film and digital is like the difference between an analog tube amp and a digital amp.
The lighting turned out great. Didn't want to get too much fire in the photo because it would have washed everything out. But the reflection off the subject turned out great. IMO It was dead dark out by now.
Fuji 200, Shutter speed 2, f/4.5, M focus. 5.24.12 bonfire.

I have a lot of fun with the point & shoot digi but missing SLR quality and features for photog hobby.
So I thought I'd run some film and see if I remembered. Riding a bike. Grew up on a Pentax 35 back when it was all manual. Pretty basic really... start at 125 and f8 - middle of the road settings, then adjust according to light meter and how you want the focus - close on the subject is smaller f stops, all in focus is larger f stops. Light meter tells you where to adjust the speed.
Never did any dark room stuff. Always thought about it but...
Mesa Boogie... ooooh... sweet stuff there.

I just like the color I can get out of my nikon without having to get into photoshop. Id really love a higher end model however.
