OK, lunch is over. Horses fed, Bullitt washed and covered, insulation & vapor barrier half done. Time to go finish the other half, maybe start nailing & gluing some floor deck, and catch happy hour before dark.

They actually did a pretty good job with only 2 hrs to work with. Did a pretty good job breaking down the different regions and types of accents, most people assume its all the same.

And to take things back to "fixin' to" etc, I heard another one today that is really common. Although, I'm pretty sure its from and used more in the Appalachian dialect, so some may not be familiar with it.

"Ort", is used a lot in place of ought. But both used in place of should.

"Do you think we should cut down that tree before it falls and tears something up?"

"Yeah, I believe we ort to, because it'll be a hell of mess if we don't."


No wonder people think we're stupid.
