Cool pic Ed!

The only times I've been across country was when we drove to NC back in '01. We've also gone to SD in '97, '00, '02, '04 ('05?), and '07. lol We went to Phoenix a lot when I was little, but that was by plane. Not the same imo. Someday I want to go for a long trip, and see all 50 states.

And for the record, anyone who votes for me gets a drive or ride eventually with approval by me.

Yup. Usually only cigars or a pipe and not too often at that, but I'll smoke a cigarette if someone offers me one. I don't inhale though. I smoke for the tastes and the smells. I also only smoke with certain people, like Funbags. I won't smoke around pete (cntchds) or my family and some of my other friends. I try and be courteous to people who don't like the secondhand

and cuz watching smoke at night is cool I know, I'm a five year old

My grandpa smoked a pipe up until a few years ago, and he's 87 I think. My other grandpa smoked when he was younger, plus he had bad lungs, and he died two years ago when he was in his 70s I think. I'm not good with ages.

I smoked for 19 years. 16 till 35. I'll be honest I still think about it. But have resisted. I would still probably smoke if my family didn't bug me everyday about it for years. I finally gave up becase I couldn't risk not being around as long as possible for these 5 girls. I have an addictive personality though. I was easily hooked on it. My wife could smoke like you do for years. Occasionally having one with me. I wish I could smoke like that.

I think if you find something important enough you can get rid of the habit, it's easier for some people than others. my grandmother smoked for 40 years, but quit cold turkey when she found out she was going to have a grandson...never smoked another thing in her life

Nathan and Ed, sorry to hear about the losses I have no doubts that smoking is bad. Its not a habitual thing though. I've yet to have a craving, its just something I do with certain people.

I originally was afraid of smoking because I also have an addictive personality. I think though that my life is full of enough other addictions/hobbies that smoking is just smoething I partake in from time to time.

Gary, its definitely a good move to stop once you had a family. whenever I end up settling down, I'm going to stop. I may seem like a hypocrit, but I don't want to influence my kids someday to smoke.

sigh, arin is longwinded
