What's better, titanium or my backup pro? I tried the trial for both and my backup seemed to work better. 
I'm not sure if I want to mess with ROMs or not yet. I'm happy with what I've done on mine for now.
Free wifi tether, screenshots, and overclocking the processor are some of the tops things. Plus if you did want to load custom ROMs, rooting is necessary.
You can do themes on stock with Better Home. I didn't like it though so I refunded it.

Ya, I know. That really sucks. It says it works with rooted and non-rooted, but will backup data if you're rooted.

***House update***
Electrical rough-in is complete.
Roof shingles are all on.
HVAC rough-in is complete.
Exterior paint is complete.
Security system pre-wire begins Monday.
Plumbers are completely MIA! It's really pissing me off. You'd think they'd give me good service on my personal home. Plus they missed the hot water in the slab for the pedestal tub in the master bath. Now the slab will have to be cut to get it in.
Idiots. I should have caught it, but there was so much to check the day before the slab was poured. I spent most of the day making sure the measurements were correct.
And I still need to pull wire. The electrician told me he pulled over 6,000 feet of electrical wire. I wanted to get my part done sooner but I've had to work this week drawing those plans. I won't be able to start working on it till Friday.
After the first of the year I'll be getting the driveway put in and I'll get it insulated and sheetrocked. Plus I'll be getting the brick and stone as soon as I verify amounts.

Hope you fix it without much issues. That sucks.
Maybe the drive chain is overstretched. Most transfer cases use chain drives. Or one of the planetary gears took a dump
