This splitter was made from a mold taken of an actual R splitter. The stock piece was so crappy that a guy who used to own and race his R came up with a better solution. 6lbs.

The truck looks great Sean. The chrome hub caps complement the wheels nicely.
Good idea of storing the R's splitter Gary. And I'm glad you fixed the PS leak on the fox. Was it too difficult to R & R? I"ve never replaced one in a Mustag.

Basically to remove you disconnect the rag joint on teh steering shaft, take the tire rods off the spindles, undo the high pressure fluid and return line on the rack, and then remove two bolts holding the rack on teh k-member.
The hard part is eyeballing the new tie rods, making sure the rack is in its center position and also making sure the steering wheel is in its cetered position.
The hardest nuts to undo were the fluid lines themselves on teh rack. very hard to get to, and I didn't see how I could get it out of teh car without undoing them first.
I'll still have to get it aligned of course. It's very hard to eyeball the toe on a fox for me. The wheels always look like they point out a little to me.

Not too difficult at all. It's just removing those 20 year old parts that is time consuming.

Hey Nathan,
Remember I told you there was a Teal 93 Cobra that was in the driveway of a house in a nice neighborhood I drive by sometimes. Well the owner was out front watching his kid play and I was in my Fox just coming from getting my inspection so I stopped and asked him from the car if that was his teal Cobra. He said yeah and we started about a 20 minute conversation and basically the guy is the african-american version of me. He could be my brother from another mother. He's got a '09 GT-R, a '96 Viper, and an '89 Turbo Trans Am GTA. He said the Cobra was actually his daily driver and it had a GT40 crate motor in it. The Trans Am was one of 1500 Turbo Trans Ams that were made from teh factory with motors from the Grand National cars. But with bigger coolers and a stronger cam. It was just funny that this guy had a 3 car garage and the two daily drivers, 93 Cobra and his wifes FJ sat oustide and inside were some really nice cars.
Of course I had to tell him what I had, but he probably thought I was just some full of **** dude with an old fox and extremely greasy hands and hat.![Icon Mrgreen](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

and what happened to putting the 10th anniversary wheels on the fox?
that wouldnt fit in his mileage quota...for the next 10 years

My SGT has about 8k miles on it now, and I've noticed the exhaust has gotten a lot louder than it was when new. I figured it would, but I was surprised at how much. I got my dad to drive it down the road the other day and I was shocked at how loud it sounded from outside the car.

Mine has gotten somewhat louder too. Need to get some good video sometime soon.
Need someone to hold the camera though, and I need to find a good place to do some drive-by's without getting in trouble.
