Best All Season Tires for a GT PP ?

Guys
I am just about to purchase a 15 Blue GT PP manual but I live in NY and cant use the Summer Tires.

Any suggestions on a set of All Season high Performance Tires?
I heard the Continental DWS are the Best?

What is the best size over the 275/40R19 rear and the 255/40r19 for the front? Can I go Wider ?

TY

The Continentals are the best rated on tire rack.

I have the Michelin pilot a/s 3s and I love them. The grip is excellent and comfortable. They are pretty quiet too.

I too have the A/S-3 on my GT500. A huge improvement over the Goodyears.
Money well spent.

For those that have went the route of the as-3's... Do you feel a difference (negatively) over the stock Pirelli pzeros in warm weather? I don't think I'm the only one caught between getting all seasons or just ponying up and buying a dedicated winter/summer sets of wheels and tires.

I've just heard good things about the pilot as-3 but it's hard for me to imagine they would outperform even a mediocre summer tire

Before the big snow here on Long Island, I purchased Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All Season for my 2014 GT Brembo Package. So far, they are excellent in the snow.

I think it depends. My Pirelli pzero tires were actual amazing when the were relatively new. They seemed to lose that in short order. By the time they were 16000 miles old, I was not very confident in them anymore. My as 3s are close. They aren't as good as my pzeros when they were new. I think they will stay impressive longer. In cold weather and rain, they are much better than my pzeros.

Cooper Zeon RS3-As.

If I could, I would. I can't (don't have the right size for the new 18x9.5s). I miss those tires...

So many different opinions..
I'm leaning towards the Extreme Contact DWS
It got the highest rating on TireRack.com and my performance guy swears by them

Coopers for winter and summer tires on original wheels for summer, you will regret not having summer tires in the summer, just bite the bullet and get a second set of wheels/tires for winter. there is not an all season tire that can match summer tire performance.

A/S 3's as well although as I understand it Michelin traded some snow capability for better dry handling. Not a big issue in my AO despite 6 inches of snow on the ground but interesting none the less.

I went with A/S 3's as well. They were the only 285x40x19 A/S I could find. The temp has been hovering in the 40's all week, and today I switched tires. I don't miss the P Zeros at all. I had good grip around corners and under acceleration on some twisty back roads. I don't think I'll be seeing any snow this year.

I switched to the AS3s two months ago and the difference is significant. Better grip wet and dry and quieter. No doubt in my mind they are superior to the Pirellis. Plus now I have s tread wear warrantee...the Ps ran out in less than 26k...

Just got home from driving in mixed snow and ice and I must say the Coopers did great, good control and traction, Im convinced that this tire is more than acceptable as an all season choice. I will still be switching to summer tires on my other set of wheels in about 8 weeks, but for winter, coopers are great.

from what I read in these forums it might depend on where you live on which tire you like best. I live in Florida and the Stock Pirelli are fantastic. Just like all tires they perform best when warm. I have been using the coopers for years now and i will tell you they are really hard to beat. Goodyears are great but they ride hard. Michelin are really good just way to expensive for what they are. If you are a serious racer buy the coopers and shave them a little.

You get what you pay for in a tire, no tire manufacturer out there is producing a cheaper tire that is categorically beating a more expensive tire in every area. Its true between manufacturers and obviously even within a manufacturers own line.

And that doesn't even consider the quality controls and manufacturing process various tire companies use. Unfortunately Michelin doesn't X-ray every single tire that comes down the line (they did until they were comfortable with the manufacturing process and had the empirical data for internal defects) and as far as I know every tire is inspected by hand before it leaves the plant.

Read up on summer-winter-all season tires

Run a summer set in the summer and a winter set in the winter.

The AS3's are better than the Pirelli Pzero All seasons, but also worse than the Pirelli Pzero Summer tires. My pirelli Pzero all seasons let me be a drifting champ out on the country roads - very easy to break loose.
