Exclamation Need Answers

I live in South Carolina and ordered a new 2015 Ecoboost Mustang Convertible and put a down payment down in Aug 2014. I am yet to receive my new Mustang and I am very frustrated. I talked to the dealership, Ford Customer Service and Ford Distributor of South East with no help. The dealership is feeling as frustrated as I. I am wondering if others are having same difficulties as I am. I do not know where to turn.

You can PM Deysha, shes the ford customer service rep for the forum and see if she could help.

You should not have had to put any money down on a special order. You don't pay until it arrives at the dealer. I ordered on 2/10 and it won't arrive until 5/1. But from August, thats outrageous. Do you have an order number or vin number yet. You can look up your order at http://www.cotus.ford.com.

If you ordered it in August 2014, I'd demand my money back...plain and simple. No excuse for this. Order another from a different dealer.

I would say definitely check with Deysha at Ford Customer Service. Unless there is a non-buildable condition with the order, this should not be sitting this long. Other than that, maybe they got it in and sold to someone else. When I ordered my car a coworker told me that happened to him where his car came in and the dealership owner's son took the car and the dealer never told him.

The deposit should be refundable anyway. When I ordered my car I put $500 down, which went towards my down payment. It was completely refundable if I changed my mind though.

That said, I'd get my money back and go elsewhere. You did order a convertible though, and they went into production way later in the year. Your order priority might be very low, which would explain the delay...

Not surprised. I ordered my 2015 back in May of 2014 and my Mustang just got delivered to the dealership in early March - over 9 months. They didn't tell me until January that my early production Mustang was destroyed by Ford and had to be a re-ordered.

congrats! sorry you had to wait- I can relate... I waited 5 months for my 06, the guy hauling it crushed the rear wing/trunk/quarter unloading it at the dealer... couldnt even get a test drive... 6 weeks later its replacement arrived and it was definitely worth the wait- we ended up with three vista blues sitting here, love these cars.
other than hood paint failures on on all three(including the still undriven 4 mile 09 last year) they have been better than I ever coulda dreamed...
we took the 06/07 on a 5800 mile family road trip last summer, while mileage kinda sucks with two cars, it was a heck of a trip

hey if you dont mind- please check out the seams under the front of your trunk lid where quarter meets center panel- the two 'verts at the auto show were sloppy, where fastbacks were all perfect- I sent pics to Ford, hope to see they got back to the guys on the 'vert line and they did as nice as the fastbacks ...after our hood paint issues I've been kinda on a mission to do some Ford 'quality control re-con' just hoping to see some results

heres one of two at the show, they were both like this- while not a 'problem' per-se, just hoped to see as much care in finishing/smoothing seam sealer as on the fastback line- they were all nice and smooth at this joint
