TPMS Syncing

I read that you can sync Ford TPMS sensors without buying the remote tool. Anyone know if this is possible?

There is a relearn process that you can go through that does not require a reset tool.

Thanks for the answers to this question, do I understand correctly on a base V6 2014 Mustang, with 17 inch wheels, if I switch to 2011 Mustang 19 inch GT wheels, that the 2014 will automatically relearn itself, regards TPMS, or at worst, the relearn process involving the ignition switch will get the TPMS light turned off if it comes on?

with my original band sensors if I switched or swapped or say had a low tire after a ignition off & on & I think I hit the rest button and was all good , I just bought a staggered set up 10 x18 & 9x18 with valve stem tpms sensors so I ordered a sync tool from American Muscle & it was so freaking easy a monkey could do it.

Should be able to use the air out procedure (similar to what GM uses) Check your owner's manual - although having one of the mini-garage opener type 125KHz tools is pretty easy...

Direct TPMS on US vehicles does not come with a reset button. They need to be retrained using the shop procedure.

If you use the same sensors that were originally trained to the vehicle - i.e. swap them to another set of wheels, then training is not necessary. New sensors would need to be trained.

No I bought 4 new valve sensors to put in new rims & tires the kit I ordered from American Muscle comes with a syncing tool I was worried that it wasn't band sensors but true to AM's video it was so easy a monkey can do it it did each tire without any glitch.
