Got the Coopers on tonight. Holy crap what a difference! The only downside is the loss of the beefy, stuffed look the 305s gave me. Everything else is a win. Sharper turn in, lighter athletic feeling restored, quieter and more comfortable ride, and decent traction in our 45* weather (so far).

I'm very happy so far. My Michelins still have a lot of tread left - 8/32 on the fronts and 6/32 on the rear (10/32 is new), so I hope to get at least $600 for them. Putting them up in CL tonight!

What Michelins do you have?

I'll likely be going with the Coopers next season, coming from the Pirellis. The only good thing about the Pirellis is that they are predictable and easy to do burnouts with.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I never even got to enjoy them, they take a long time to warm up and I never got the chance to do that, but the rears rubbed a lot, so I took it easy everywhere I went anyways. I considered just getting a set of 285/35 of the same tire, and keeping the 265/35s up front, but two 285/35s was almost as much as a full set of the RS3-S Coopers so...kinda a no brainer, especially since I should be able to break even by selling the MPSS.

The sizes I had were 265/35/20 and 305/30/20s.
