Winter wheel/tire discussion
Have you tried the DWS before? We're looking at putting these on our 2013 GT500 when it gets delivered next week.

I remember looking at the Conti DWS, and they were on my short list. But I think those did not come in the size I needed (used stock 18" Pony wheels). Plus I had read too many good reviews about the Blizzaks on multiple forums.
1. They are very hard to shine / make look good. The sidewall is just very bland and flat rubber -- doesn't really have any pattern to it and it's difficult to get product to stick to.
2. The sidewalls are pretty soft, so be careful with potholes. On my Acura I had 2 tires develop sidewall bubbles/buldges -- one was ruled a manufacturer defect (might've just been my tire shop being friendly), the other was not.
Other than that, highly recommend the DWS.
I switched to Continental DWS's before I sold the car, and was very pleased with them while I had them. Great all-weather grip and very comfortable ride. 2 things I will say about the DWS's though:

I just posted about buying my winter rims and tires for Tori from Discount Tire Direct. Great options, great customer service, and several hundred bucks cheaper than tire rack. Can't beat that.
Winter wheels are in
Some pics of the winter wheels . . . sorry, no pics on the car yet, it's a bit too soon. . .

Pics are being cut off today for some reason. Hopefully they display well after posting.
All bought together from TireRack, with TPMS sensors, mounted and balanced. Bought the TPMS sensor reset tool also, paid too much. Dealership didn't have any and couldn't/wouldn't order one (didn't even know what one was at the parts counter!), O'Reilly same thing.
I rolled one up to the stock wheel (track pack so 19" with Pirelli's), and it's the same overall outside diameter. Of course for winter I don't mind the higher profile tire on 1" smaller wheels.

Just FYI, there is a fundamental difference between the LM blizzak models and the WS models which are the original ice grip technology. The WS sizes max out at 18" dia, and wear quickly if you drive on drive pavement, but are the max possible traction when the snow hits the fan.
Exactly why I got LMs. Not very often around here when the roads are snow packed, but even then the LMs worked great.
Got mine from Discount Tire... for my daily driver. No pics on the car yet. Just getting it prepped. Opticoated it too. I have Blizzak WS70s on our minivan. We love those, going on 3rd winter now.
These new ones are Hankook iCepts. Read great reviews.

But obviously, I will keep you guys posted once I mount them on for winter, on Tori. (The minivan has black steel rims, so no opticoat there. I could care less if it rusted LOL)
Marilyn will get stored in less than a month, sadly
As for the center caps, you are the 3rd person that has said that about my new rims...leaving them off. This is my first set of REAL aftermarket rims. Can you explain why to leave off? Pure visual reasons? looks better? or..... ??? someone stealing them? lol
NICE... you have a SPARE set of Brembo rims? dang... luck man. Wasn't that pricey?!?!?!?!
Big thanks to Overboost. Saved me 80.00 on a new TPMS set. Tousley has these in stock call to order they are not on the site. At least that's what they said in their email. part number M-1180-A.

I'll post pics when I mount them late this fall . . .
