Wheel Hop Question
I wasn't aware that wheel hop was a big issue with a live axle. I've never experienced wheel hop, I don't have any suspension work done yet, and I drag race all the time. Always thought independent suspension has more wheel hop than a live axle.

Before my suspension work my car wheel hopped like a mother. I thought the wheels weregoing to shoot through the trunk haha.
My car had really bad wheel hop stock. Especially in the rain. I installed Steeda billet LCA's and adjustable UCA and bracket(poly bushings in all) a little over 2 years ago. 99% of my wheel hop is gone. The rear end feels very solid and I can lay a nice patch with no fear of wheel hop. I now hear a slight gear whine in the 60-70mph range though. And I did have to relube the LCA bushings this year due to some squeaking. That's it for NVH.
This is crazy. Never have I had wheel hop,...strange how so many of you floor it and your cars rear end start s bouncing on and off the pavement. I just slide to one side a bit then I'm straight down the strip!
I can't say they're confused because wheel hop is literally your rear end bouncing up an down off the pavement so there's no way I get it confused with something else. I'm the confused one since I've never had this happen,...EVER.
Wheel hop is not only annoying, it can be catastrophic.

I had wheel hop pretty bad. I changed my lcas and most of it was gone. I added the torque box brace and I now have none. I'm not sure if the brace got rid of the hop or the warmer weather. I've been told that the summer only tires can cause hop. I guess I'll find out come the winter.

in action, but I have if the road surface is wet and it doesnt take too much throttle either. Fast forward the video to 1:05.

Here is the link to the above video, very clearly shows the hop and how upgraded parts resolved it.

In the SVT thread it was stated that the BMR when setup correctly for his car added almost no NVH. Probably a lot of variables. For me, his setup should be exactly like mine. I have the Track Pack and he has BBP and 3.73's.
