TPMS????

Does anyone know if the TPMS system on 2012 can be disabled, bypassed or what? Not knowing that car had this, I put a set of wheels on it with regular valve stems (DUHHH!!!!) and now have choice of breaking down original and putting them in new wheels or buying another set of sensors, neither of which is very appealing. My mama said my middle name was stoopid, but I thought she just favored me. Thanks.

The car will run and drive totally normally without the TPMS sensors, you will just get the dash warning.

No way to disable it as far as I know.

Tpms sensors are pricey. 80-150. You need the relearn tool or take it to your tire shop to flash once installed.

Open to debate because of shelf life: however, I purchased my OEM set on eBay for 75 bucks 2 years ago and they are going strong.

Yes my are OEM off a 2012 that were on the car for 600 miles, like new. Yes tire store will have to pair them up to your car. If u can get them cheaper have at it. Check my rating here and (eBay as usarbo). I do see them on ebay for $60, say will work on Mustang. Have at them. $100 min from me. Price mentioned above from dealer$80-150 is for each sensor.

You will also need to replace the valve stems as well if the ones that were used weren't for stem mounted TPMS.

Correct, that's exactly what it says to do on the sensor. Each time it is dismounted. That's the correct way to do it anyway. Read the info on the round part.
