I put 1/4" spacers up front and 5/16" in the rear. 1/4" is about 6.5mm and 5/16 is about 7.25mm, making the wheels +29 front and +28 rear. The 255/40 was a little stretched on the 9.5, so if you were to run 275 or 285/35, they'd be perfect on the 19x9.5 +35.
A 9.5 with 35mm offset will only tuck 1 mm compared to a 10"-wide / 40mm offset wheel, which is what I had in the Niche Milans when I had rear tire rub against the fender lip.
The 40mm 9.5 will tuck 6mm instead of 1mm with the 35mm/9.5, so if he wants to run a fat tire I'd really recommend the 40mm.
If he's only gonna run a 275 rear tire though, either the 35mm or the 40mm will work.

Yeah but those 555Rs are a fat tire. Remember I had tire rub when I had my Centerlines - 20x10.5 +40 with 305/30 MPSS. Really should have gotten the +45 on those. When I switched to 275/35 Coopers, no more rub and I had plenty of clearance. Probably would've been fine with a 295/35 but I didn't want to chance it.

Luckily there's plenty of us who have done this before haha. I'm currently running 20x10 +40 rear with 285/35 and have plenty of clearance. I can't wait for my 6GRs though. I have the 5-spokes on preorder. They should be in early May. That will be set #6 on the car lmao

Sounds fun but I have my own race to go to.
I have my first autocross race for the season next weekend in Sacramento.
I'm racing my 65 mustang in the CAM class this year SCCA solo 2.

And that's why I asked what tire sizes he's thinking of running.

In conclusion...

19x10 rims w/ 40mm offset. 275/40 tires

Hardest things were finding a wheel to fit the Brembos and finding a tire shop. Although confident, tire shop guys don't always know what they're talking about.

Gabe, I run Nitto NT-555 G2 275/35/20's on Steeda spyder 9.5 with 45mm offest both front and rear.. So is running 45mm offset in the rear going to tuck in too close and not work

Yeah, what Patrick said above, you're fine with that.
Plus, you're already running it, so you know it fits, right?

Yes, I just wasn't 100% sure after reading over your post, as I began having doubts Gabe.. So I figured that I'd better ask just to make certain for my own piece of mind..
