I had the standard PZero Nero 235/50/18. I bought a set of SVTPP wheels with the F1 Supercar 265/19 and 285/20. The first thing I noticed was a significant increase in road noise. I tossed the PZero back on to compare the difference and it was quieter. I put the SVTPP's back on and got that same road noise. In fact my mechanic/friend (Vossperf.com) took my car out for a spin and his first comment was, "those tires are noisey".
But the rims and tires look coolso I am sticking with them.

Your exhaust is louder than your engine? )

I can hear the road noise on my 9600 mile P-Zeros on my my Boss that has GT-500 mufflers. Noise is much more notable as the tires get worn. Sounds like the OP has his mind made up on buying the F1's...

It's a 5.8 thing. You wouldn't understand.

Me neither................until I bought my 300zx about 10 years ago. The crappy Japanese spec tyres that it came with roared so much, I thought I had faulty wheel bearings. I took a lot of convincing to swap out tyres with lots of life left, but the difference was amazing when I replaced them with Toyos.

I had similar on my current daily driver (e46 BMW 330i). Again, I thought I had a faulty wheel bearing out back, but it turned out to be a cheap tyre on the rear. Once swapped out, I could hear the engine/exhaust again, which is much nicer!

Just of of interest, since November '12, all tyres sold in the EU have to be rated for noise, fuel efficiency and wet weather grip.
