2012 base model V6 strut mount advice

This is for my daily driver and never sees a track, but I'll be upgrading my 2012 base model V6 suspension with 2012 base model GT suspension take off parts. I have the front and rear: springs, shocks and struts standing by and the sway bars have already been installed. My question is: Should I get the base GT strut mounts to complete the package or would different strut mounts be more desirable? Thanks!

the stock mounts should work well for you. I just wonder how your front end will sit seeing how the v8 weighs more than the v6er

That’s a good question as I wondered about that also. My Ford parts guy did some part number checking and said the 2012 base GT uses identical part numbers for the suspension package as the 2012 V6 performance package. (I did forget to ask him about the strut mounts). The only other difference so far is, that V6 performance package uses the 19” wheels with 255/40/R19 tires and I have the 17” wheels with 215/65/R17 tires. I suspect that it will sit a bit higher in the front due to the engine weight difference, but probably no more than a V6 PP normally sits.

Update: The 2012 GT base and the 2012 V6 performance package share the same strut mount part number. Think I'll go with them as they are supposed to have a increased durometer rating as compared to my stock 2012 V6 base strut mounts which uses a different part number. This should complete the low buck suspension upgrade.

Also, when comparing overall tire/wheel diameters: the V6 performance package with 255/40/R19 tires is: 27.03" and my base V6 with 215/65/R17 tires is: 28.00". Doesn't look like it's a big enough difference in ride height to worry about, but it's present.
