My first post, just another DIB owner/lover

Hello to all my fellow DIB Mustang owners. My car is a '13 GT Premium with A6. It has BMR springs, LCA, relocation brackets and adj. panhard bar. The wheels are Boss Laguna Seca 19x9 and 19x10. Nitto NT05 275/35 NT05r 305/35. I purchased it in March of last year. Thank you for letting me share. I absolutely love reading all of your threads about our beautifully colored Mustangs. We have the best color, at least I think so.

Welcome to the section. I love the tire selection and stance you have. What's the offset are the wheels?

Hey Steve, thanks for the kind words about my car. I do appreciate it. The front wheels are 42mm and rears are 47mm. I chose these wheels after doing many searches thru several sites online. I did not find very many results with people using them in gloss black. It seemed like most common finish for this wheel was the original factory machined finish look. I liked it too but wanted something a bit different. The price was so awesome as well since LateModelRestoration.com had a Black Friday special on them. They offered the RTR's for either $699 or $799(not a misprint) for complete set shipped. The black Boss ones were $499 a set shipped. I liked the RTR wheels but spoke to several guys that told me not to put the 305 drag radials on the 9.5" wheel. Plus they warned me that with the aggressive offset on the RTR's, my 305's would probably rub if I lowered the car.

I bought my tires from Clint@Discount Tire. He hooked me up with great prices and killer customer service.

Steve, I have to thank you for your awesome thread that you have been sustaining successfully for quite some time now. Your car is really sharp looking as well. Those stripes are very cool. Also, thank you for your service to our country. Take care. Sorry for the lengthy reply.

Randy

Thanks Sean. You have a sharp looking hotrod. I like your tinted marker lights. I bought a DIY kit that includes marker lights, headlights and tail lights. Was this stuff tough to apply or would you recommend professional install? Thank you, Sean.

Little doggie info: Sophie (5yrs old Brindle) is a sweetheart. She measures 37" at the shoulder and is weighing around 165lbs. The fawn Dane in this pic is her 1 yr old little sister, Gracie. They are a lot of work but most definitely worth every bit of it.

No problem Randy! I also bought the DIY kit, off of ebay. They were very simple to install. Just use some alcohol wipes(or something similar) to wipe them down first. Then a little soap and water along both sides of the vinyl so you can maneuver them once on the lights. The headlights are a little trickier just because it's a bigger piece. I've got headlights, reverse lights, all quarter markers and the rear reflectors tinted and they look great! Those dogs are gorgeous! I'm sure you love them, and I bet they're great to cuddle with! Lol

Thanks for the compliments. That's a lot of tire under there. I still want to run a square set-up on my car so I can rotate the tires. Yours looks really awesome. I'm thinking of changing up the stripes since they have some wear on them now. It's hard to maintain then here in Germany.

Thanks roadrunner. Seems like there are lot of good people on this forum that love their cars and can appreciate other member's cars without being too harsh. Thanks to everyone for the welcome to the DIB group. I saw a DIB '15 GT with black wheels near my house a month ago. It was coming down my street away from my house. At first I thought someone stole my car then quickly realized it was very different. I turned around and got a crappy pic of it. Then I saw it again week later in town half hour south of me. Car had Mich plates on it. It was fun to see it so early and so far away from Mich. I will upload the two pics of it.

Steve, what do you think you will change with the stripes? Color or style or not quite sure yet? I am sure it will look good either way. You sure have a heck of a following with your current stripes.

I know this probably isn't the right place for these pics and I apologize for the crappy quality of them. The two darker pics were the ones taken when this car was coming up the street toward me as I was almost home. I turned around quick as possible to only get these two pics. Then saw it again just a short time later in Naples. Crazy.

I'm not sure how I will change the stripes out or if I will even. I don't want to go too wide. I like the narrow ones. They are getting a little beat up from the elements since I couldn't park her in a garage for a long time.

That's the beauty of having your own thread. You can put whatever you want in here and it's cool. That's pretty awesome that you saw a new Stang on the street.

I have to admit that I normally don't care for stripes on our cars but one thing I have always liked about your's is the fact that you went with the narrow ones. It looks different and that is cool. I hope that you choose to leave them as is and just freshen them up when you're ready. Those stripes just fit your car perfect.

I will keep them narrow but probably change the color of them. I might just add a pinstripe to them too though. I haven't decided yet.

I gave the car a nice bath and wax job on Sat. Took some new pics with Sophie and the car. She loves being in front of the camera. The sun was going down so the lighting was great for taking pics.
