The Green Machine never gets tired of having it's picture taken does it?

is the Roush packages worth the money? I was looking at some at Tindol Ford but the Stage 3 models are $70k, they do have a used 2014 stage 3 which I believe they want $47k for but now the GT350R is available for the same price and about the same hp without the supercharger.

GT350R models are being marked up to at least $80k everywhere I see one, and they put out 526hp ... If you saw a Stage 3 Roush for $70k, chances are it was a Stage 3 with the Phase 3 option, which puts it at about 675 HP.
Even a regular Stage 3 is about 565-575 HP ... more than the GT350 or the GT350R.
The nature of the high-revving GT350 engine makes it apples-and-oranges when comparing it to the low-end torque of a TVS-boosted Coyote, like a Roush.
Different animals.

Additionally, the fact that it's a Shelby makes all the more appealing - short term and long term value wise

Thanks Burton. It was fun. I took her out this morning as well for an inspection sticker. Cool temps had the beast ready to go. lol
Are you taking yours out as well?

(If you're going to buy a Roush, let me know. Send me a PM.
We can get you a better price than that.)
And, like Gabe stated, 2 different animals. One's a high revving machine and the other, a TVS beast. Once you get an aftermarket tune,...the Roush is a beastly car. You can read a lot of info on the mustang forums, especially on svtperformance.com. Lots of TVS cars on there. The TVS cars are stupid fast and run really good. I do believe someone here got a 93 octane tune from VMP on his Roushcharged car and his car is like on a whole new level.

It's only a Shelby in name unless it was built by Shelby American. The late model GT500s & current GT350s are Ford factory cars. Shelby only because Ford paid for the name.

Still nice cars but in the world of Shelby purists, it's just a Mustang.

Since I got the inspection sticker early this morning, I came back home, had another cup of coffee and did some laundry. Finished that up and though, it's a nice time for another drive. Took the Green Machine out twice today.

I agree sir.
The only way the new GT350/GT350R's hold their value, (if they do at all), is if the car is kept away in a well conditioned garage with next to zero miles on the clock.

How's the resale on the Rousch Mustangs? I know for example I have a 2011 GT Premium with Shaker sound system, 27k miles and so far 2 dealers have offered in excess of $18,000 for it, of course thats on buying a new one in it's place.

I have no idea. I know that a lot of them are fetching big money, if you do a Google search, you may find it.
Are you interested in a Roush Stage 3? I NEVER consider resale value when buying a vehicle. If I like it, I buy it, regardless. You're going to lose money anyways, might as well enjoy yourself and get what you want. That whole resale value thing is garbage in my opinion. Try going to buy a new car and have the dealership/saleman put that the car has great resale value in writing,....they won't. It's all hype/selling tool. That's just my opinion.
Mine is a 2013, is super clean and has super low miles. Less than 2,700 miles on it. Always garaged and NEVER driven in rain/snow/wet pavement. Even if there is a threat of rain, I don't take it out, as much as I want to.
Good luck!

There's a black 2013 RS3 for sale at a local dealer, 9k miles. Looks beautiful. They're asking $47k for it.

Holy crap! Thing must be in super mint condition. They're probably going to get mid 40's for it. Most of them sticker around 60-62k brand new for 2013 model year.

Tindol Ford in NC has a green 2014 Stage 3 same color scheme as Stage 3's under 10k miles for $46k and a white with black lines 2014 Stage 3 7800miles for $45k, then they have a black with a really cool gray/green stepping 2012 Stage 3 with 8k miles for $43k. The only reason I'm not jumping on one of them is a use the car daily to and from work and i'm not to sure a supercharged 670hp Mustang is meant to be a daily driver. My thinking on just getting a new 2016 is that it'll be mine for the long run and after the warranties run out I'll start looking at doing serious missing to it. That was my plan with my current one but last year I had to put a crap load of miles on it and then some girl texting away while driving ran into the back of me while I was at a stop light, which was repaired with OEM parts and a transferable lifetime warranty on the repairs, so since I can break even on the remaining note might as well get one with 5 miles on it.

If you're worried about a 670HP Roush Stage 3, then you have no worries!!!
UNLESS,...................you're worried about gas mileage. Gas mileage may not be great and weather. If you have great weather all year round, no worries there.
Good luck man!
(Too bad the new GT500 wasn't out already, I would sell you mine for 47k. (Stiker was almost 62k.) SUPER, SUPER clean and SUPER LOW miles. Only 2,700 miles. Always garaged and never out in rain/snow/wet pavement.)

You should just sell it, throw the almost-$50k into the bank, and add to it some more making up a nice down payment while Ford is still prepping the new GT500.

You could do it and never even tell anybody ... I'm sure you have enough pics of the car that you could keep updating this thread for 2 more years if needed, lol ....

Wait, do you even have this car anymore?

I demand a picture of the car in your possession with a current newspaper in the pic, LOL ...
