You 2013 owners get it all...

Not available on Boss
Prices across the entire Ford lineup generally creep up about 3%/year. @ $41k that's a little over $1200 WITHOUT any improvements/enhancements figured in. $1800 sounds about right. Having Sync and HID's across the lineup should lower Ford's $/unit.

Take it for what's its worth, I am not going to argue the point from here. I spoke with Jim Owens yesterday and he stated there has been nothing finalized for the 2013 Boss or released yet, that includes colors or options. So I do not know where this info came from. I doubt the people that have posted it here are not trying to make anything up on their own but it did not come from Ford or anyone with the Mustang program.

Ford might be taking a page from the history books (are you reading this Mr Farr) again. The first year of the Boss 302 (1969) was more basic and race car inspired than the second. The second year also had more available options and color choices. Examples: shaker hood and grabber colors. The same could be said for the GT350. The 1966 model was more people friendly than the 1965 was. In both cases the underlying theme was to make the model appeal to a wider audience.

The only option I wanted was SYNC but I bought a new ear bud and I'm good to go. I didn't think I'd like the cloth seats but I really like them. I like mine just the way it is and will like it just a bit better when I have TracKey software installed.

Not really, I don't know much. I just ask questions from the Ford reps when I see them. What I wrote about above is nothing more then I was told by the Mustang brand manager at Miller. Guys like Jim are more then happy to meet us and will talk with you about anything. You just need to head out the the car shows etc.

If the '13 is less than 6 months out, and I'm betting this post is correct, then a lot of things are locked down. They just haven't been released yet as not to negatively affect remaining '12 sales most likely.

The biggest difference was the decision to resize the valve sizes.

I think it's a good move. Not that I see upgrading for another 3 or so years, but for those of us who want to be able to drive our mustang everywhere and everyday, the additions of the electronics package as an option should be a positive for many people.

It's far closer than that. Order banks will open THIS Dec. for the 13 MY. I'm pretty sure everything has been finalized- although it might be a very small circle of people that actually know all the details.
