Window Tint
Sorry if this has been covered before, I did a search and didn't find much.
I'm looking to get my window's tinted, and was wondering what you guys have gone with, I'm looking for something noticeable but not ridiculous. Are there any issues with window tint and racetracks? Like can I still tint the rear window without problems?
A place around here sells, among other things, Huper Optik (http://www.huperoptikusa.com/automotive.cfm) window tint, which is super expensive (about twice that of the normal stuff), but has extremely good UV protection, I'm not really sure how necessary that is though. Anyone have experience with this?
And of course, if anyone has pictures of their tint that would be awesome
.
Thanks

I did 35% on the sides and 10% on the back and quarters. Works perfect for me and still allows visibility at night... Plus it's legal

I just had Madico Brand ONYX 35% on the sides and rear. Nothing on the windshield. As there is no on-board GPS, I went with the metallic Onyx vs CHARCOOL (also made by Madico) at 35% which is a little darker. Both have lifetime warranties
I've like the ONYX because of its 49% solar heat rejection and 99% UV rejection rating.
Car is CO, but no photos available just yet
3M makes window tints as well. They're in the same price range; and they also make one that is $600 a car (vs $200) that I paid.

Wincos 30% all around. Crazy high heat rejection was the big sell. Texas was like the surface of Mercury this Summer. Info here:

About $375, after a discount. Ouch.

I'm thinking I'll probably end up going with the lighter shade as well, at least for peace of mind knowing it's legal, and I think I'm more worried about going too dark than too light, for personal preference on looks. That looks really good on the Kona, Jimmy.
