HP ratings only matter to paper racers. Give me real-world performance over trumped up paper statistics.

I doubt any of you will be disappointed with your Bosses once you get it on the road or track.
The average new loco is upwards of 4,400 HP now, but the stang obviously slaughters it, 21 vs. 228 HP/Ton and thats if its not even pulling anything.

It's that (slightly lower torque x much higher RPM)/5252 = 440ish (ie higher) HP
That makes sense. The 440 is what is in question though.

How about published Ford documents? Try page 19 of the 2012 Mustang order guide.

No offense intended, but I work FOR Ford.

I'm well aware of what's in the order guide, I had access to both the US and Canadian order and price guides before they were posted here.

I'm also aware that the order guides are " subject to change without notice" and figures can move up or down. right up to the day that first Boss rolls down the assembly line in 15 days.

Perfect example is that the 2011 order guide insisted that the rear brakes of the Brembo package comes with 2 piston calipers. I wasn't entirely convinced otherwise until I saw the 2011 shop manual when it was released on the Professional Technician Society.

Not much more than what is already posted here, unfortunately.

Rumours and such that I hear internally through PT engineers and such I don't repeat until it's confirmed, because I'd rather be silent than wrong, lol.

Well that too, in some regards. I can't post internal documents, for example, which is why I had to sit on the order and price guides even though I had my personal copies within an hour of their release lol

So can we expect official news on the TracKey in a couple weeks then?

Press days for the NAIAS are less than two weeks away...seems like a perfect time to let all the specs out right as production begins.

I bet Ford has a nice Boss display there. I'm tempted to fly out for that just to check out the cars. I'm sure this is bigger and better than the L.A. show.

Like I posted in the other thread--I hope this is true, but if I had a nickel for every time I heard a "I know someone that works at the factory" story, I could pay for my BOSS in cash.
